ABOUT DR. LARRY EVANS
Dr. Larry Evans is a board certified dermatologist practicing general dermatology with a focus on dermoscopy.
After graduating from the University of Virginia, Dr. Larry Evans attended the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland which began his career in the Navy. After medical school, he completed an internship at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. He then attended Flight Surgery School, graduating first in his class, and completed a tour as flight surgeon. After his time as a flight surgeon, he went on to complete his dermatology residency at the National Naval Medical Center.
He was then transferred to Newport, Rhode Island, where he served as the regional Dermatologist for Naval Health Care New England until retiring from the Navy in 2009 after 24 years of service. After retiring from the Navy, he worked in two different organizations as a dermatologist. While living and working in Rhode Island, Dr. Larry Evans completed a Master of Arts in Defense and Strategic Studies at the Naval War College and a Healthcare Master of Business Administration with a certificate in Quality Health Care from George Washington University.
He was very excited to be able to return to Virginia with his family and begin working for Peninsula Dermatology.
