We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Larry Evans has joined our team at Peninsula Dermatology Skin Cancer Surgery Center: Dr. Evans is a highly esteemed, board certified dermatologist specializing in general dermatology with a particular focus on dermoscopy.
Dr. Evans’ Education & Experience
Dr. Evans earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia. Following his undergraduate studies, he earned his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. 
Following his medical education, he furthered his training with an internship at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Driven by his dedication to excellence, he excelled in Flight Surgery School, achieving the top position in his class, and subsequently fulfilling a tour of duty as a flight surgeon.
Transitioning from his flight surgeon role, he embarked on a comprehensive dermatology residency at the National Naval Medical Center, dedicating thirteen impactful years to his practice in dermatology. He retired from the military in 2009 after 24 years of service.
Dr. Evans augmented his medical acumen with a Master of Arts in Defense and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College, and he expanded his expertise further by pursuing a Healthcare Master of Business Administration, along with a certificate in Quality Health Care, from George Washington University.
